CULTURE AND THOUGHTS :
· Culture maybe defined as the kind of knowledge which we learn from other people, either by direct instruction or by watching their behavior since we pick it up from our surroundings.
We may assume that we share it with them so this kind of knowledge is likely to play a major role when we communicate with them in particular when we use the language.
· Same thing goes for any knowledge that we share with other people, regardless whether we learned it from them or not. Ours consist of a vast network of concepts interrelated by propositions.
Difference:
Cultures think differently due to the unique ways in which culture adopts, as we have mentioned before:
Ø The western cultures: typically exhibit analytic thinking, focusing on individual objects and logical reasoning while,
Ø East Asian: cultures favor holistic thinking emphasizing context and relationships.
v Thus, cultural background significantly affects how people perceive, interpret and respond to a certain situation based on what they have acquit from their culture which leads to have a numerous and various thoughts patterns across society.
